Ballarat YCW Harriers originally began its life as the CYMS Harriers in 1931. Unfortunately, this group was forced to disband in 1941 due to World War II.
On April 28th, 1946, twelve original members brought the club back to life as the YCW Harriers. Jack Davis, Arthur Morgan, Tom Conroy and Jim McMahon were among the runners who registered for the first season.
From these humble beginnings the club has built up an enviable record of achievement, a record that stands as a tribute to these founding members of the club.
